About Naomi

My name is Naomi Gruber and I have been an educator for over 18 years. I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis on Child Development, and I am a certified Educational Therapist. While I have been trained in the Orton-Gillingham methodology and am a structured literacy specialist, my background in both psychology and education has provided me with a unique understanding of children and adolescents. I am profoundly passionate about helping children with learning differences learn how to learn, and believe wholeheartedly in taking an eclectic approach.

When a child has a learning difference, it is not that they need just a hand to hold along the way, but tools and strategies to better help them succeed and reach their full learning potential.

In my work inside and outside of the classroom, I have experienced great success in enhancing my students’ academic and social-emotional lives by utilizing the most current techniques. No matter the issue, my main goal is to help children become autonomous and confident learners.

She literally carried my daughter through school. She worked with her for a few years and had such a deep understanding of my daughter and how she worked, learned, and just who my daughter is. Most importantly She built up my daughters self confidence which is just priceless.

She was always honest and told us when we could cut down from two sessions per week to one session per week. She taught my daughter the skills she needed to succeed in school. All my kids wanted turns working with Naomi because she’s just such a genuine person and so loving and warm.”

Naomi is relatable and connects so well with our creative daughter who was behind grade level and faced significant challenges keeping up in the classroom. Naomi knows just how to motivate her and has helped her make great strides in her reading, essay writing and executive functioning skills.
